Indiana just signed a bill into law that says that a business has the right to not let someone, that has done something that goes against the business owner's religious views, do business at their establishment. An example is that they don't have to serve a gay person, someone that does not believe in their god, or even if they had gotten a divorce, for the reason of it being against their religious views. It is considered a civil rights issue because it means a person can basically discriminate against almost anyone that they want and they cannot be punished since it is perfectly legal. This is similar to the black civil rights movement because just like then a person can now choose to segregate/discriminate against people. The nation responded to this by almost moving the NCAA Basketball Final Four out of Indiana, and many people chose to not go to the games. All across the country people protested against this law, saying that it should be overturned.
